Our Story

Anju Kapoor comes from a family of pioneer restauranteurs in India with a legacy from the 1947, she moved to the US and opened Mayur. Dharam Singh was cooking for Kapoor family at her home in India since 1970 as a personal cook prior to moving here with her. Since the inception of Mayur in 1984, Anju continues to oversee the operations. She is uncompromising in maintaining the standard of quality. Mr Singh continues to cook providing the same quality and consistency as in an Indian home.

DHARAM SINGH The Chef has been cooking for Anju's family since 1970. He has been instrumental in opening Mayur. His expertise and natural talent has ensured that Mayur continues to receive recognition from guests and critics alike.
